Our Beliefs

We strive to walk in the Spirit per Romans chapter 8 and Galatians 5:16-25.  That means:

  1. To not walk according to our carnal, fleshly desires, but according to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit within us.
  2. To set our minds not on the carnal things, but to set them on the things of God's Spirit.
  3. To walk in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the desires of our flesh, our carnal, selfish, self-pleasing nature.  We want to please God!
  4. To increasingly demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such there is no law or restriction

We strive to let the Spirit of Holiness, which is God's Sprit (He is Holy), dwell in us such that we are:

  1. Separated from the world and all it has to offer, including the second death of eternity in hell.
  2. Separated unto God in a life style such that God is pleased to live in us.

We believe there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; and one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.  He was God in creation, Jesus Christ in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in renewal of our lives.

We are looking for the precious hope of eternity with our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us that:

  1. The world will not always continue on, but will one day cease to exist.
  2. Jesus Christ will return to rapture, or catch away, His Bride, the church, who are those who have been washed in His blood, cleansed by His Spirit, and quickened by that same Spirit to rise to meet Him in the air at his return.

The Bible.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a divine revelation from God to man. We accept the Scriptures as the nal authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16-17 & II Peter 1:19-21)

We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: innite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as the Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in sanctification. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5 & II Timothy 3:16)

Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin; that He lived a sinless life, was crucied on Calvary for our sins, and bodily rose from the grave; and that He has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. We believe that through His death and life we have personal salvation and power for victorious living. (Matthew 16:13-19 & II Timothy 2:5-6).

The Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today and that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues, along with His accompanying gifts, is the privilege of all New Testament believers. (John 14:15-26 & Acts 2:1-21)

We believe that all men have sinned and stand in need of redemption, which is obtained through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Those who repent of their sins, and who are baptized in Jesus name, and who receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost become children of God and heirs with Christ. (Romans 3:19-25 & Acts 2:37-38).

The Church.

We believe the Church has been "called out" of the world to be a habitation of God through the Spirit. As the body of Christ on earth, the church offers hope to mankind. The church is one body made up of many members, diverse in their gifts and calling of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 15:13-21 & I Corinthians 13:12-31).

The Second Coming.

We believe Jesus Christ will come again to establish His kingdom on the earth. At His coming, we believe the dead in Christ will be resurrected from the grave to reign with Him for a thousand years. (Matthew 24 & Revelation 20.
